About the property
Enjoy a unique stay at this stately 1860's Italianate home built by James J. McCormick. There is a large staircase in the center foyer, original radiators and 10 foot tall ceilings. Your stay will have the 19th century charm with modern amenities. A kitchen capable of cooking meals, a designated work space and a bright bathroom with a shower/tub combo to get ready for local adventures that await you!
This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit on the main floor, spans the entire north side of the main portion of the home. The bedroom features a king bed, blackout full-length curtains and even a noise machine! The room has a full-length mirror, a dresser for folded clothes and a closet with hanging space and room for your luggage.
The living room has a pull-out sofa bed for 2 additional guests, with all of the needed linens. Relax in front of the beautiful original fireplace, plenty of lighting for a good read, watching a movie on the Smart TV or even working at a dedicated desk.
The kitchen is fully functional with everything you need to prepare your own meals. There is an electric stove and refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and much more! The table can seat up to 4.
The bathroom is small but mighty! The cozy plaid wall paper and vintage style fixtures add that special charm. There are plenty of linens and hanging space for towels as well as a removable shower head.
A washer and dryer available for all guests to use on the main floor.
The McCormick house has served many purposes over the last 150 years but is currently a 6-unit apartment building. The home sits up on a hill with a large open area to enjoy a sit on the swing, a glass of wine on the porch or a picnic lunch on the grass. The large porch that spans the entire width of the home, has views of the Saginaw River. There is a shared patio at the back of the home where guests can dine, relax or use the hot tub.
The two-story home has 6 units available for nightly stays. This is a great place to stay if you love history, 19th century architecture and charm of the past. Search for Ann, James, Joseph, Sarah and Elizabeth McCormick. With 6 units, sleeping a total of 4 per unit, it is an excellent option for large groups such as weddings, family reunions, work travel, festivals, etc.

The place gave a sense of elegance and style. We really enjoyed the lighting in the livingroom giving a sense of romance, and a place for connecting. The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable bed. All in all, great stay, lovely upcoming neighborhood with much to do and eat. We'll rave about this place and would definitely stay here again
